Crescendo is a place for our musicians, parents, conductors, staff and alumni to share stories of their experiences with the Northern Ohio Youth Orchestras. We hope to give readers and members of the greater NOYO community a good sense of NOYO’s mission and activities, its ideas and goals, and its impact on the lives of young musicians.
We invite you to follow us on this journey to hear and discover the individual voices that join together to grow and learn through participation with the Northern Ohio Youth Orchestras.

Welcome to the Northern Ohio Youth Orchestras!
We are a regional youth orchestra non-profit organization dedicated to the development of young musicians through training and performance. Our mission is to provide opportunities for young musicians to come together to rehearse and perform symphonic music. To achieve our mission, we are proud to provide the following musical opportunities. We currently offer three ensembles:
Rhythm & Brass: An ensemble for brass and percussion players.
Symphonetta Strings: For string players of generally of elementary and middle school age (entrance by audition).
Philharmonia: For wind, string, and percussion players generally of high school age (entrance by audition).
The season for NOYO includes three concerts: fall, winter and spring.
In addition, we plan many other growth experiences such as musician retreats, school tours and orchestra exchanges that vary from season to season.
NOYO's mission is to provide opportunities for young musicians to come together to rehearse and perform symphonic music.
